Life Update!!!

Hi guys,

Hope you're all doing well! I am incredibly sorry for the lack of posts, jsut realsied that this is acually my first post this year....it really doesn't feel like that! I have had a lot on so I think it is slightly justified haha, gotta give credit to all those fantastic bloggers who manage to stay active on their blog whilst at university, haven't quite got the hang of it yet!

Anyway, I asked on my twitter what sort of post people would like to see from me and the answer was predominantly a life update, so here goes:

1) I have finished my dissertation

So, I was incredibly inundated with deadlines over the past couple of months and although I love doing this, my degree had to take priority as I was clearly bad at juggling both this and university work. However, I have now COMPLETED my dissertation which means that I only have one more assignment and placement to complete before I am a qualified teacher. Words can't express how happy I am to have those 10,000 words submitted and now completely forgotten about. I have slowly started to get my life back which I didn't quite realise had changed so much, I am able to see my friends more, be sociable and be less stressed.

2) My confidence is back!

I don't know how or why but I am finally feeling confident in myself again and I love it. I have always been a bigger girl and until two months ago I was at my biggest which left me feeling low and just demotivated to do anything outside of the house. I joined Slimming World in February and have lost 9lbs so far. It may not be anywhere near my goal or aim but just shifting that weight has made me feel a lot happier in myself, I've even started wearing new clothes I didn't think I could before. Once you get to a point where your happy or happier with yourself, nobody else's opinion seems to matter. I'm looking forward to losing more weight now most of my friends have had their 21st birthdays!

3) I've just come back from a getaway!

After dissertation was submitted on the 26th of March, some of my housemates and I went to Amsterdam for 4 day and oh my goodness...it was so needed. I was constantly in awe of the incredible architecture and history the city had to offer. I'm not going to delve into too much detail though, as I think it will be my next post!

4) Jobs

It has come to that time of my degree where I have to apply for jobs, my first teaching job!! I've had a few interviews and looked round a fair few schools but I still haven't found the perfect one yet! I just viewed one today and I've got two more tomorrow which may mean I might find the perfect one. The school I visited today I really liked, that much...I even applied! I find out on Friday whether I've got an interview or not, how daunting! Still a firm believer of 'everything happens for a reason' so I'm not putting the pressure on myself.

Think that is all the post-worthy news I think I have for the moment. I'm excited to have more time to spend writing, because it is something I really like doing. Has anything been going on in your life?Let me know by writing a comment!

Until next time guys,

Erin xoxo
